The Crested Butte Nordic Center and Ice Rink is located in the heart of downtown Crested Butte. Our groomed ski trail system meanders around the outskirts of this quaint Victorian mining town and National Historic District. We're in walking distance from everywhere in town and the free bus stops at the corner.

Cross-country Skiing and outdoor ice skating are family oriented activities so there's no need to leave the kids behind. Our friendly ski school instructors teach skiers of all abilities and ages on gentle terrain. We offer rental packages for cross-country skating and clasical skiing, as well as snowshoes and figure skates.

Most visitors ski our scenic trails at a leisurely pace, taking time to enjoy the peace and solitude. Others challenge themselves in our local race series through the streets and alleys of downtown Crested Butte. We offer special programs for kids, women, and seniors. We're proud to be the training center for Western State College's NCAA Nordic Team and the Crested Butte Nordic Team.

For those seeking adventure, we also offer guided back country ski and snowshoe tours to numerous places in the Gunnison National Forest. If you want to spend a night in a back country cabin we can handle the bookings for you.
